Profile: Enzo Rolando, Apprentice Receptionist at the West End Hotel
Every month, the West End Hotel**** highlights one of its employees by asking a few questions to better understand their job and what motivates them. Today, the hotel introduces Enzo Rolando, an apprentice receptionist.
Can you introduce yourself?
I’m 21 years old and I’ve been an apprentice receptionist at the West End Hotel for about a year. I’m originally from Chartres, in the Loire Valley, and I hold a Master’s degree in Business Administration. My passion for tourism grew from my experiences visiting the Loire Castles. Since I started working here, I’ve gained experience in various departments: check-in, check-out, payment processing, housekeeping, restaurant service, and now, reception.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
What I enjoy the most is interacting with clients. Working in such a prestigious environment allows us to ensure a high standard of service.
What advice would you give to a new colleague?
My job requires strong communication and the ability to anticipate clients’ needs. Don’t hesitate to ask for help, especially at the beginning, if you want to prove yourself.
What is your favorite place in the West End Hotel?
My favorite spot is definitely the hotel’s front courtyard. From there, you can admire the beautiful façade of the West End Hotel and observe the entire life of the hotel.
What are your best memories at the hotel?
My most memorable moment is my first day. I was warmly welcomed by the team, who were both kind and professional. It made me want to welcome others in the same way in the future.
What advice would you give to guests to help them enjoy their stay?
I recommend exploring the Bonaparte district, located between the Port and Place Garibaldi. It’s a lively area with plenty of charming restaurants and bars.
