A land of events, Nice hosts many sporting events throughout the year. Whether it’s the Prom’Classic, the Half-Marathon, the Ironman or the Ultra Trail Côte d’Azur, Nice is a giant playground for sports fans. In 2024, as well as hosting several football matches as part of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Côte d’Azur city will welcome the finish of the Tour de France on 21 July. A first in the history of the Tour!

After 110 editions celebrated in the Parc des Princes, at the Vélodrome de la Cipale in Vincennes and on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, the cycling competition will conclude with an individual time trial on the Promenade des Anglais. The final event will decide the race favourites, the day after the stages on the roads of the Nice hinterland: Embrun / Isola 2000 on July 19 and Nice / Col de la Couillole on July 20. The time trial will then get underway on 21 July! Spectators are expected in their droves to cheer on the cycling champions.
